Competition Rules

New: Some of the competitions will now be anonymous, to avoid bias. SoTW, SoTM & LAoTM entries must me submitted to the following email from now on: art.greenpenguin@live.co.uk. Include in the header line the competition the work is designed for and your board username (SoTW4 - Scottster88). The signature itself must not contain your name. You must not post the entry anywhere else until the competition is over. You must not ask who's signature is who's and you must not tell which signature belongs to who.

1} General
1A} For SoTW, your entry must have been created in the same week that the competition started.
1B} For SoTM, your entry must have been made in the same month that the competition started.
1C} The size limit must fall within board rules, unless the section moderator states otherwise.
1D} Signatures that do not fall into the theme of the competition will be disqualified.
1E} Only entries are allowed to be submitted into entry threads. Any post without an entry is spam.
1F} When voting, you are only allowed one vote per person, and one post per person in a thread.
1G} Both members and staff can enter a competition.
1H} For LAoTM, the minimum entry size is 400*400. Remember, large arts should be posted as a thumbnail or link.


2} Content
2A} Signatures must not contain:
- Nudity/pornography
- Swearing
- Extremism, including Nazism.
- Excessive gore
- Anything else considered inappropriate.
Young people visit this board, therefore the board standards must match their expectations.

3} Challenges
3A} To declare a Head-to-Head challenge against a particular person, send that person a PM first requesting permission. If a challenge is accepted, you may open a H2H Challenge thread.
3B} If you have no particular challenger in mind, you may post a thread requesting a challenge. Anybody who posts in that thread automatically accepts the challenge.
3C} Member Vs Team competitions can happen in two ways. A member or a teamler can PM the other requesting a challenge. When the challenge is accepted, the Team Member creates a competition thread. The second way is every now and again a group of Teamlers will be picked at random to compete against the same number of members who accept the challenge.
3D} You must specify the winning conditions. If you do not, the competition will end when either an entry gains 8 votes. Or when the competition thread has been inactive for a week, the highest voted wins.

4} Unwelcome Actions
4A} Ripping is not allowed in this forum. There are several tools available at the administrations disposal which can be used to detect ripped works.
4B} Ripped works will be removed and an infraction will be given. This may elevate to a ban if an administrator decides.
4C} Copying work is not permitted, unless otherwise stated (such as in tutorials).
4D} Using a multi account to make multiple entries or multiple votes will result in a ban of both accounts.
