Vacancies
The Green Penguin is looking for some well-mannered, well-matured individuals to fulfil a number of roles we have available on this forum.
The roles we offer:
~ Administrator. Recruitment Off
~ Moderators. Recruitment On For Special Applicants
You will start off as a Trainee Moderator until you get the hang of things. When you have learnt the basics, probably in a few of weeks or less, you will be promoted to Moderator.
There is the opportunity for those who perform exceptionally well during their training period to jump through the Moderator promotion, and end up as a Global Moderator.
As a moderator, you will enforce the rules on the board, as well as joining in with the community. Your job will be to safeguard the forum, ensuring it is a smoothly run and safe place for people of all ages to visit.
A Moderator is on the frontline at all times. Defending not only Green Penguin's image, but also the visitors and members to our community.
Due to the nature of the job - there will be some times where a Moderator will be faced with abuse from an angry user. And there may be times when a moderator is required to deal with explicit content posted by unruly members. Therefore we request that you need to be at least 18 years of age to apply for the role.
However, particularly if you demonstrate good communication skills, maturity, calmness and problem solving skills, you could be considered if you are under the age of 18, but usually no less than 16.
You must have at least 2 hours of free time to spare every day.
~ Team Artists Recruitment on
An opportunity for proven artists to become a Team-based artist.
As a Team Artist, you will provide art-based support to users and newbie artists in the community. Offering useful advice to improve their skills, pointing out useful resources, creating tutorials and so on.
You will be expected to participate in some competitions and keep the FanArt areas actively operational by encouraging and inspiring.
Please note however, that Team Artists do not have regular moderator powers. They can, however, request threads to get back on topic and they can try to resolve small disputes. Anything else is left to the Moderators and above. The minimum age for a Team Artist is 14, but we will be looking for maturity.
